First Rappel in Blarney

First Rappel in Blarney

Blarney, and the left fork of Blarney, in particular, is one of the best slots in North Wash. Its short approach, beautiful slot sections, and straight forward anchors make this a great choice for beginners and experienced canyoneers alike. I would recommend this as a good introduction to the area, and a place to start before jumping into the slightly harder and longer Right Fork of Leprechaun Canyon.

The canyon is usually dry or can hold only a few small pools right after recent rains. The lack of water makes it a good choice in cooler seasons when you want to stay dry.
