Cat and I completed this route today, 5/14/2026. This was our 2nd solo route and it went pretty well. The down climbing, and assisted climbing sections were definitely new challenges for us and we could use some practice, but we managed. Cat was a meat anchor for the first pot hole, then I team assisted her into the hole. The first rappel wasn't bad, we probably could have stayed on rappel for the 2nd down climb after the main rappel, but the down climb was fine. The last pool was pretty deep, I started off in the middle with my bag over my head, and stepped off into deep water, it kind of freaked me out. I then rushed back to the shore. Then I scouted the pool, accross the middle was a swim, the left side at least felt like a swim, and I half ass checked the right. This left me concerened because swimming with my heavy bag didn't sound great. I then swam the rope across and then back. Then checked the far right side, and was able to tip toe accross right by the rock wall with my head above water. I was able to do this with my bag, then go back into help Cat. By the time I was done I was freezing, the water was pretty dang cold. It took a while to warm back up even though it was 70 or 80 degrees outside of the canyon, but the sun had set some. We did the last repel from the 2nd station on the right side. There were significant grooves in this area, but it was a straight forward rappel. Cat went first, I went 2nd. Great day, hope I didn't swallow to much water. Took us right around 3 hours.
#conditions Cat and I went out and finished this route today. It was a bit more of an adventure than we were hoping, but mostly because we got a late start and finished after dark. It took us right around 3 hours. The approach and exit were awesome, and beautiful, and most of the hike was in the shade since we started at 6:40pm so it wasn't that hot even though it was in the high 90's in town. This was our first solo canyon trip, so the rappel probably took a touch longer than normal. We did both agree that getting onto rappel or at least loading the anchor and getting over the edge was tricker than we both anticipated. The bottom of the rappel also ended in a small tree but it was manageable. This plus the fact the sun had just set and it was getting dark quick gave us a sense of urgency even though we didn't need to have one (had plenty of supplies, lights, etc.). The pool above the rappel was waist deep, but wasn't muddy which was nice. One of the two bolts for the anchor was spinning as previous mentioned in other posts.
