Comment on Boltergeist Canyon - Leeds

#conditions Ran this on 2/22/25 with a group of 4 of us All webbing and anchors were in good condition, but the one single bolt is a bit loose and spins on the last rappel short exit so we opted to use the two bolts above it requires a little climbing The canyon had a little water in it from previous days' rain which was a nice change from the last time we did it in 100+ degree weather We had fun downclimbing the crack instead of rappelling it

Comment on Shenanigans - Middle West Butler

#conditions 5/8/2025 9 hours car to car, fairly leisurely but lost time trying to find the correct exit Road is good Sections 1 and 2 are very physical chimneying and shimmying Lots of standing water in section 2; mostly foot to shin height, with 2 hip-deep wades Section 3 was physically easy but mentally tough I'm a 36" chest 40" hips woman, and had to breathe out on a handful of foot-long sections in order to squeeze thru, luckily with space immediately after that to breathe normally Exit notes were not clear and...

Comment on High Spur Canyon - High Spur

Id go out on a limb here and say its an insignificant obstacle The most notable parts were mentioned, nothing else really stood out to give beta about What I think you may be referring to, is the downclimb into a darker crack, and you'll have to stop and think about getting your footing right to stem above the pothole without actually dropping into it The canyon is a few feet wide here and has kind of a curve to it, so it makes for a quick challenge I think there is a photo of it here titled "The cold Pothole" We...

Comment on Hog Canyons - North Wash

#conditions Hog 2: dry, one patch of easily avoidable mud Book didn't describe the rappels very accurately, but none exceeded the provided max rap height, so it worked out fine Slight possibility that we were in the wrong canyon Anyhow these are the rappels we encountered:Rappel 1: 60-70ft from cairn/deadman Followed a small wash with "styrofoam rocks" down into a small v-shaped slickrock ravine for a couple hundred feet If you look at a satellite map, its the crack feature that goes nearly north-south and is about...

Comment on Covert and La Boca Arches - Lost Springs

Getting under the arch was pretty easy and did not feel exposed From the top of the arch we walked the rim to the right looking away from the arch about 5 min to the top of a boulder pile The first move down used an easy and wide 7 foot crack with good holds to access the boulder pile From there it was an easy walk on slick rock to the arch

Comment on Larry Canyon - Robbers Roost

As of Memorial Day no wet suits needed, very little water, only calf deep Anchors are getting a bit old and abraded, bring some webbing as these will soon need replacing If you have some new folks be aware that they may feel exposed climbing the steep slick-rock after the exit crack

Comment on U-Turn Canyon - Arches National Park

Had a great trip taking the family through On the last rappel, I think the anchor has been moved farther away from crack I've seen in some photos, as we needed 180 feet of rope to get down and 220 would have been better to avoid getting off at an awkward angle on a ledge Just read the comment by mesa_rn--should have checked that out before!

Does anyone know if there is an exit crack between the first chute and the corkscrew
