Quite possibly the best bang for your time in the area, Dunham Canyon is spectacular. The slot section is very short but dramatic and photogenic. It has deep, convoluted walls that lead to great lighting and scenery.
Though short, I would highly recommend this one. The approach and exit are both short as well, making this a nice half day outing.
Note: The final rappel requires good natural anchor building skills. We built a deadman on our trip, but it could easily wash away. This is a good beginner canyon as long as you have someone in the group with solid (no pun intended) natural anchor skills.
