Trying to stay dry - first up climb - Two Step Canyon

Trying to stay dry - first up climb - Two Step Canyon

Two Step had held my interest for many years, but I had never been in the area close enough to check it out. Reports from a few friends were that it was not as spectacular as Happy Canyon, but was a really nice canyon. Cristina, Lucy, and I finally worked it in as a second day after doing Happy Canyon the first day.

The canyon has 2 up climbs that require intermediate or better skills. Both drops are only 5 m ( 17 ft. ) each, but tricky enough beginners may struggle. The first up climb seemed quite a bit harder than the second to me. It is well worth the struggle, however, as the canyon gets even better once you get above the first obstacle.

I would not recommend making the drive out for just Two Step, but it makes a great addition to a Happy Canyon via Poison Spring trip.
