We hiked Maidenwater March 2019. Nothing required more than a knee deep wade of a few feet. As far as down climbs, the only significant one was after "the boulder," and it was easily negotiated with a little creative butt scooting, etc. Definitely nothing technical. We camped between Maidenwater and YBR. We hike up YBR until we got cliffed out, which I think is just before the bottom of the tech canyoneering route described elsewhere on this site. At this point, we backtracked a few minutest to a hoodoo and scrambled to the top, and to a view point of what we think was tic toc bridge, although it looked more like a paul bunyon potty type of feature than a bridge so maybe we were not successful. Regardless, it is a beautiful hike. I also thought Trail Canyon, our exit route, was a lot nicer than advertised. Water throughout MW and Trachyte. Trail Canyon was dry. A few cow fresh cow tracks but saw no cows. Same for people.
