Hiked solo, 9:15am to about 11? Enjoyable little canyon. Found some shell imprints that are probably the namesake fossils, but not as many as I’d expected, given the name. There was a fixed line at the end, off a two bolt anchor; however, I was able to climb up and down without the rope. Probably wouldn’t be for everyone, though. There were a couple obstacles in the canyon that had water at the bottom, making it slightly more difficult to climb around - part of the fun, for me! Good little morning hike while the family played golf.
With Devin, Annie, and Tessa. Beautiful and interesting canyon. Started from the top and went down and back. Halfway through the canyon, climbed up to the rim and back down in via a side canyon, just for fun. Found a few shell fossils. Loved the barrel cacti on the rim.
