Attempted this today from the V Road (about 3 miles past past the Harris Wash trailhead). I believe this route is quite a bit shorter, more like 2-3 hours RT hiking if you have a 4wd and know where you are going. The road is sandy but no problem in my 4wd Tacoma. There are only a couple decent places to park, though. Unfortunately I didn't have full route information, just a vague map from a book, so didn't find it (looks like I got close). Another time!

Did top slot. It was mudy, with thigh-deep water (in contrast, Egypt 2 the next day was bone dry.) Ended up rappelling one of the downclimbs, but I was a bit out of practice and my shoes were muddy. I was going to continue and do the whole thing but a blister was bothering me. 5 cars were parked at the trailhead but they apparently were going somewhere else (Reflection Canyon?)
