Quick stop to see petroglyphs on both sides of the highway
I did Adobe Swell in October 2003 in very wet conditions. I almost got hypothermia.
I parked near Highway 95 and hiked to the grotto. The road I parked on is the approach road for Horse tanks Canyon.
I looked at the crossing of White River from up above. This was the same trail head we used for the white canyon backpack years ago. We went up Long Canyon and came back gravel Canyon. From above the crossing looked pretty good for the transit. Some sand, but not too steep. This is the approach that one would use for cowboy Canyon.
I drove halfway down the road to Fry ruins shown on Gaia. I walked the rest of the way and saw the ruins across the canyon. Not very exciting.
I walked from 95 Down Soldier Rd. to the White River crossing. A steep Sandi section on each side of the river similar to white pocket. Might be able to do it with the transit if I did a little shoveling.
