We loved this canyon I am sad we never did it before due to its low ratings I would do the 120/150 foot rappel for sure If you do the 120 then you can do a short 45 rap from a tree to the river Follow the gps coordinates on this website for a nice exit out along the river
The water level is currently very low as of 4/15/2018 There were only a couple potholes with water and none of them got us in past waist deep sometimes through pretty nasty/smelly ponds! Ewwww Never had to pull out the wetsuits Partner assisting is super necessary! No fixed line over the crux keeper, but with some high stemming, we rigged our own line to get the rest of the crew over it All the bolts seemed solid and the existing anchors were in decent shape Great canyon! Took a group of us 95 hours total, which ma...
6/24/22 - This canyon is really fun! Super easy, super fun romp Would definitely do this again if in the area Like the beta says, easy to escape anywhere if you want All of the rappels except for the two stage chokestone rappel were bomber There were 3 options for the last rappel up on the high right side
It was well worth taking a few extra hours and going down Orderville I assume the guide service clients are the ones that tagged/graffiti'd all over the walls of Birch while they were waiting to rappel It would be nice if someone took a steel wire brush up there and scrubbed all that off Beautiful canyon otherwise 7/1/2015
Thanks to this website, I have added more beauty to my life list Hotter than heck in June, but worth every stepespecially when cooling off in the waterfall Loved the valley wherein the water fallethcould see having a home there Still wundrin' why the animals were headless, must have been a long strange trip!
Thanks for the great website      I knew a couple guys that used to haul uranium ore through this canyon as teenagers during the dry times   The guys were teenagers
Yeah, there are a few real trolls in Moab Sorry you found one I hope you complained to the company--that goes far in a service economy Maybe there will be an opening for you! And isn't canyon guiding banned in Arches, or is that only in Fiery Furnace Worth mentioning it to the Park, regardless They don't want a bunch of turds messing things up for other visitors, either
interesting there was only the green dynamic, had a super short tail with a clove on the high courtesy quicklink- didn't notice it being super stuck or anything no red 7mm, maybe someone else took that If you'd like the green back just let me know, we just didn't want to leave it as trash in the canyon I'm in the denver area Glad to hear everyone got out safe!
Pretty cool area - wouldn't have known about it if not for this website! The old bus is mostly gone, just the front of it is left Keep going east on the road and you'll eventually get to Cisco, a pretty cool more modern ghost town
Ryan: The side-canyon you mention is the lower end of Bull Valley Gorge--you might add that name, plus side-canyon Your map shows it well MRK I'll be looking at your website more this summer--including the Bloody Hands Gap thing Thanks MRK
