Sunseed Canyon has the same initial approach as Moonflower Canyon but then takes a different and more lengthy descent route back to Kane Creek. The canyon is mostly a wide meandering canyon that passes around fins and domes before closing down very briefly and plummeting just over 65 m ( 214 ft. ). The final section and exit, though short, are quite beautiful.
Though a similar approach to its neighbor Moonflower Canyon, Sunseed Canyon is a step up in difficulty. Expect difficult navigation (GPS required), tricky downclimbs, and some moderate rope work to safely descend the final big drop. I would recommend this for intermediate or better canyoners. Beginners may feel a bit overwhelmed in this canyon.
