RAPPELS: 2 to 10 m ( 33 ft. ) for the short route, 3 to 30 m ( 99 ft. ) for the long route.
WATER: One long stretch right before the final rappel. Wetsuit required.(mostly wading, but one short swim)
FLASHFLOOD: Moderate, but you can see the whole drainage and skies on the approach.

Fooling around is a great, and varied canyon. It has many potential exits, making it a good choice for beginners. The short route is recommended, as it sees the best parts of the canyon, yet provides a much shorter exit.
The longer route is worthwhile, but adds more much more exit hiking than good stuff.
