Thousands zoom through the eastern reef a year on I-70. Though I am sure many comment on the beauty and magnitude of the reef, passing through at 70MPH is no way to experience the eastern reef!

Little Spotted Wolf offers a short diversion for the I-70 traveler. The trailhead is generally accessible to all vehicles, and is only a short distance from the highway. It really gives an up close view of the reef, and allows the casual hiker to experience the magnitude of the place. Given the easy access and easy hiking, this one is recommended for pretty much all. Families, in particular, will appreciate the short hike and impressive scenery.
