I would like to encourage you to make it more clear that the "4x4 Road" is very very rough, large drops, tight narrow turns, soft shoulders sloughing away to deep ravines, and is really a "high clearance Jeep trail" or ATV trail We attempted it in a 4X4 Ford explorer and it was a mistake Thanx!! Would be a blast in the right vehicle Thank you for all your efforts on this web site, it is a great resource
This sounds exactly like what we climbed up, following the gpx from this site on Avenza maps Didn't see any weaknesses immediately down canyon from looking at the lidar slope layer on the maps We climbed the low-mid 5th moves you described which were fine but took some trust in slopey feet, no hands The 4th class to the right looked much easier, but holds were a little more crumbly and it had intimidating exposure for a new climber
Went down South Fork and up North Fork on 10/3/21 No fixed ropes and no anchors on the way up North Fork, but we managed to get through with lots of partner assisting including a 4 adult/2 kid human pyramid for one obstacle and a sketchy free solo move for another Super fun but not for the faint of heart without fixed ropes Car to car in 5 hrs
Documenting our trip 7/21/23, all completely dry Group of three, didn't use webbing Ended up lobbing small bags 20-30 ft drops each time to keep hands free for down climbing Narrowest parts wouldn't allow you to turn your head Very physically demanding spent 30+ mins stemming and sliding across wallsAmazing experience, dreamed about it for weeks Very exhilarating Ruined the vehicle's alignment getting there, very rough dirt roads
Our son built that ladder in the picture for a scout project 15 years ago Each boy carried a part of the ladder up to the point it is at They nicknamed the hike "the death hike" and they all talked about it for years It is one of my favorites hikes and I hike it at least twice a year Love your web site!

#conditions 11/28/24 Attempted upper but quickly discovered it was very icy and slippery making for dangerous conditions Made it about 1/3 of the way through upper granary and got to an impassable pool Made the mistake of pulling the rope before checking it out We self rescued by free soloing the canyon wall and throwing down a line for the rest of the party to ascend Do not attempt this canyon right now unless you want to do some winter swimming
We went out to find the Basket Site and Ravens Crack locations in Rosy Canyon, Utah but we were unable to find them BUT we found 5 other locations that I have not seen written up anywhere but I am sure someone has visited previously. All are located just off Cane Bed Road.Site 1:  36°58'26.04"N 112°52'6.12"W Small panel short climb from parkingSite 2: 36°57'48.74"N 112°51'57.78"W Big panels with lots of art. We originally thought this was the basket site bu...
Did water canyon and Dothraki this weekend 6/9/2023 with group of three Experience level ranged from 1 year to 10 years of canyoneering Be aware that several of the canyons in Zion 20 miles north are closed due to high flow levels, and this canyon is no exception It had class C vibes when we went through The last rappel especially drenched you in water while free rappelling through the waterfall! That one can be skipped though for those who are not in the moodDothraki was the dead opposite, very dry
Did you do the climber's exit with climbing shoes or just your approach shoes Are there any anchors on the exit to belay the climber or is it all free climbing
