Hi all: I am planning to visit Three Fingers Ruins in Hammond Canyon first week of June I am aware of the Cream Pots TH as well as the Hammond Canyon TH as described in this excellent web site Has anyone taken the Cream Pots trail to the ruins or have any in formation about the trail Does anyone know the distance, in miles, one way to the ruins Is the distance about equal via both trails I know the distance from the Hammond Canyon TH is about 95 miles round trip with 2000 ft +-of elevation compared to about 250...

My last visit waypoints were spot on and was cairned, but I would hate to try and do that exit in the dark or hurrying to beat darkness!

We found big pools just down Mamie Creek from where the route crosses I would expect those to always have water Antone Flat has some small potholes with water on our visit, but as dry as it has been this year, I wouldn't count on them you can see one in the pics above, but it was pretty shallow and we visited not long after rain We camped in Mamie Creek one night which I though was a really great place to camp

In a very fun mode Lots of water At 5'4" height, KPH was a swimmer for me Water level about 5' below the lip First man over, pretty skilled climber, climbed out with some effort Traverse line still there DCL Previous visit, KPH was dry and about 10' deep It's as beautiful and scenic as ever!

Coyote Gulch is really amazing If the roads are dry to get all the way out there, that is an excellent place to visit Lots of shallow wading, but do-able with neoprene socks or something else to keep your feet warm About 20 miles, so a bit longer than you are asking for, but goes by very fast I thought https://wwwroadtripryancom/go/t/utah/escalante/coyote-gulch Good luck, stay warm wherever you end up!

I agree that it’s an underrated area It’s full of rich history, fun for all ages, longer hikes as well as shorter hikes We’ve driven past it many times, SO GLAD we stopped to visit!
