Make no mistake, Winter Camp Wash is not a destination canyon. Think of it, rather, as an after dinner canyon if you are in the area. The canyon is a short, yet impressively deep Entrada sandstone slot. The canyon, with only one rappel, is a good choice for beginners. The view from the first rappel, is breathtaking, and has good evening light for photos.
