There is an easier route to reach ferns departing from the Oiler mines on the Grand Wash road just off the scenic drive and you can make a loop out of it by coming down the way described on site or canyoneering down Shinob
Overall we would consider this not only shorter than Not Mindbender but also easier A "beginner-friendly" canyon if they can handle the final, big, free rappel, which is quite spectacular Very few technical section with longer stretches of canyon walking The only real problems are at the rappels/drops

We mis-read our error the descent instructions "From the summit, head back the way you came" to mean to the bottom of the 1st rappel Instead, as you come off the summit look down and you'll see the obvious free-standing tower We went to the right of the tower but left probably ok too
