Beautiful!
Very nice I was a bit scared on the way down, just below the summit block
With Alex Mevay. 2h to the base of the nipple.
Got off the trail once just after entering the first canyon - you need to cross the canyon just above the first dryfall and climb up the other side to find the cairns. Otherwise, it was a great, strenuous hike with fabulous views; just follow the cairns closely so you don't get lost. I can easily say that this is the best view I've ever seen in Capitol Reef!
Best summit register box collection I've ever seen

Not exactly sure what year/date we did this hike. Fun to get up to Ferns with some route finding. Great slab hiking to top. Coming down was sketchy in a couple parts. There was one area with slab and sand in it that was about 4 scary steps that I gave myself 25% chance of dying. Lots of exposure with a slip-not particularly hard just scary with potentially bad consequences. This was a GREAT hike. I would not bring beginners up with no approach shoes.
Super windy. Kate and I turned around for top 100ft. Cole climbed it.
4.25 hrs to summit (Jon)
Huge exposure. Had to make sketchy bouldering moves to get down. Not recommrnded for inexperienced and faint of heart
Love this hike...one of my favorites. Went last spring so date is approx but close enough. Made it about 1/2 way up the "breast" (if you will) before rain turned me around. Rest of part remained at base. The route there and back is spectacular.
Good day!
