Hike in ~1.5 hours till it gets good, a bit of a slog. Very fun canyon, we did without harnesses. Fixed webbing to assist in up climb, but may not have been necessary. Deadman anchors were the anchor of choice and were in good condition. Made it to Muddy Creek then ascended back up - fixed webbing helped, but may be done without. Total ~6.5 hours there and back. Muddy Creek was flowing ~25 cfs - you would get plenty wet going downstream, but looked beautiful!

A fun trip, and highly recommended. Do note that the route from car to Hidden Splendor camp is upwards of 12 miles, so be ready for a hike. Also, the canyon can be full of that sticky, slippery clay mud that makes climbing difficult.
