Ticks
Very fun. No wetsuits needed. Very little water in the canyon. Got wet up to the waist, was able to stem over everything else.
Amazing Canyon! Definitely in my top 5. The Chimney Rock exit felt very long. If I were to do it again, I think I would do the Meek's exit instead. I weight 235 and was able to get through, but had to stem pretty high. I was 40+ ft off the deck more than once.
Amazing in every respect!
Beautiful. Frozen waterfall at rap 4 was gorgeous.
Very short and easy canyon. There was very little water when we went, only one pool knee high.
11/06/2016-Amazingly Fun. Took 3 kids 17, 14 and 13 with me. Everyone had a blast.
Very fun. Some of the down climbs would be challenging for beginners, but easily overcome with team work and hand lines. There was lots of water which made it even better!
Great canyon! Access road for high clearance vehicle only after abt 1/2 mile. Best way to reach first rappel is to follow obvious drainage until you reach a 15 ft drop, then look to left for social trail which bends back around to the canyon.
Beautiful
The petroglyphs were amazing, and quite different from others I've seen in Utah (mostly northeastern area). I definitely recommend going if you're near the area.
The prints were not of the highest quality, but the hike there from the Gap was beautiful and quiet, even on a weekend in the summer there were very few people on the road.
Amazing in every respect. The last rappel was the only one where we needed a rope, even with 5 kids from 10-15. The upper pools were quite cold, but refreshing given the high temps.
First technical canyon with the kids. Group of 8, 6 beginners took a long time to get down, abt 5 hrs for the full descent. The last 100' rap was the most fun for the kids. This canyon was a great canyon to teach beginners some technical canyoneering skills as it has several places that use various skills, but no areas are too demanding or difficult.
Est. date. the younger children (9&11) were too intimidated to do the final leg, but a great trip for the older kids.
8 people, youngest 9. Did full loop in about 4 hours. Fun scrambles in a few places, nothing technical or difficult.
Kids had a blast. Lots of fun.
First slot canyon. Super easy, fun for the kids. Whet our appetite for more.
Fun and interesting
LOTS of people. Easy trail.
Est. date. Fun hike. Steep but not overly demanding.
Est. date. Backpacking in was a little rough on the younger kids (9-12), even with light packs. The beauty of the area made up for the hike in. Stunning in every respect. Good fishing too.
