Hiked with the hernanns. sandy but cool panels!
Was completely dry this time around. The farther up the canyon we went some natural water seeps started appearing. The hike felt much faster this time however it still took around 6 hours to complete including a really long lunch/viewing break at the Great Gallery. Went with Weston and Carson. There was some rumors of a mountain lion in the canyon but we never spotted it.
Neat hike down the wash. Not as cool after going through technical canyons with no people. Pictographs were really neat.
Very windy day, made the hike pretty miserable at times down in the canyon due to the amount of sand blasting us head on. Left at 2pm I believe and we were the last to enter the canyon for the day, passed quite a few groups but had the different panels to ourselves. Overall worth the hike, the pictographs were much more intricate and bigger than expected, a wonderful experience.

Excellent hike with interspersed pictograph panels. Great way to spend thanks giving thinking about the people that used to inhabit these canyons. Longer walk than expected. 4.5 hours.
Really amazing canyon with world class pictrographs. I've seen a lot of Indian artwork and this was one of the largest and best panels I've seen. There was some slight graffiti but nothing too bad. It rained the night before and the river was completely flooded. We waited for the water to drop and then waded through a dozen river crossings. It was fun to hike barefoot for most of the journey.....just like our ancestors that left the panels. The canyon was really pretty and deep and the cottonwood trees were fully changed and bright yellow! The hike out is not very hard up the old cow road. Took 6 hours but we waited for 2 hours for the water to come down enough to cross. Will come back for sure!
did with Natalie and found the rock art. It was great!
Nice canyon for an easy hike and really cool Pictographs. Not a technical experience, but good for the family and those wanting something less technical.
Over-nighted on the canyon rim campground which has splendid views albeit with significant exposure. A sandy path at the bottom of the canyon leads to a few very good panels before reaching the world-class show stopper. Saw feral burros further down the canyon.
Second time in two days, this time with Paul, Brian, and Harrison. Spotted three wild burros right below the Great Gallery.
Started around 3:30 pm, out by 6:30 pm. Canyon provides good shade along the route. Saw to invasive burros right before the climb out.
Fun if you can't do a canyon in the area but not worth repeating.
Hiked from Little Blue John to Blue John to the Great Gallery with Stacey, Christy, and Ryan. Awesome!
