Super fun, but really exhausting to do after Slidenide. Would have been more fun fresh. Bypassed long entrance rappel, but had to create a deadman to get safely down to rappel spot. Could have been downclimbed, but fuck up penalty looked deadly. 2 fucking scary sections of high stemming: long, tight section that opens to a slight bombay over to a wedged boulder and then another section of stemming to the "leap of faith" exposed drop to a 1 foot ledge with a 40' drop below, then stemming across this pit of death to another drop down to the chockstone rappel. Short exit sketchy AF, so took the easy but exhausting gully exit. Bonked somewhere in the middle and needed to eat.
Super fun! Downclimbed everything except first and last rap. Great, fun day of sliding and downclimbing!
Lots of fun stemming & elevators. Amazing last rap.
Fantastic canyon, but VERY long exit with multiple crossings of Muddy Creek (which had flashed the day before). Approach is easy. First few raps were dry. Keepers in fun mode. There were lips on most that made escape managable. Lots of pack and sandbag tosses. A bit chilly at times in a 3/2 wetsuit + dive skin, but not too bad. Lots of sliding, partner assists, and teamwork.
Easy warm up canyon. Stemming over semi-keeper was a bit of a mind trip in one section since I hadn't done it in a while. Pretty and fun canyon.
Canyon levels much lower. Canyon was much tighter and harder than last time, requiring more stemming.
Great canyon! Hated the exit "moki climb."
amazing and physically exhausting but worth every moment
Second time doing this canyon and it's still my favorite and still terrifying on that last climb at the end.
Upper section was ok, lower section doesn't follow the way you think it would. lower section was absolutely stunning!
What an amazing canyon!!! It was absolutely tough and exciting! keeper was filled with sand but there was high stemming, tight stemming abo e a dark crack, squeezing, downclimbs, spiders, sketchy traverses, and everything you could ever want in a canyon. even moments where you question your own sanity but in the end we came out exhilarated. this is in my top favorite canyons, but it is definitely one of the toughest I've done.
