Solo’d this canyon today. Water was basically as full as it could be. Did the long route and while beautiful I’d probably do the short cut next time. |

Did Double Arch Canyon w Andrew - beautiful area (big slab on approach), tech section is very short, had to swim last pothole, took about 3 hrs. |

Cool technical section, although brief. Used hook to get into semi-keeper pothole. We were all able to climb out. |

Definitely better canyons to do in the swell, if you are looking for something with quick access though this will do. |

Extremely hot day. Folks shooting guns in our general direction as we started the hike was a little disconcerting. Great little canyon + rappel. |

Hardly a slot canyon rather than a hike with 2 rappels at the bottom. That being said it was very pretty. Did this one solo. Had to swim for about 15 feet before the final rappel. Cold water and it was after 8, sun going down. Set up my first ever bag toss for a keeper, but in reverse. Had my pack with the rope cloved to the binder rack set up in a crevace on top of the pothole. Left my bag there to check out the anchor in case it was bad and I needed to retreat. Hand over hand back out of the pool worked like a charm with a good amount of effort. Approach instructions proved vague as usual. also began up the exit first by mistake which burned 20 minutes. about 3 hours true time. Absolutely stunning eastern sky on the exit, perfect gradient of blue to pink to orange. Saw a frog at camp. ð¸ |
