Took the kids down this one, good option if you are looking for something quick.
Great canyon for Capitol Reef. A couple fun rappels, a fairly easy approach, and some beauty. The water was waste deep at most for our trip with a total of 4 pools. 2 members of our team did wear a wet suit, I did not and was happy not to have it on It (the high that day was 65).
Some pretty slots, easy down climbs, and small rappels. Easy canyon worth doing once, probably never again if you like more technically challenging canyons.
Very full of water and such a different canyon than it is when dry. The last keeper is probably covered by 10 feet of water. Still beautiful as ever!
Very low water, the grim section was very nice. We stayed Happy the whole time. Great canyon!
If I'm honest the canyon was beautiful in parts, great in the heat but for me I prefer others in this area. It is definitely worth doing at least once and the rappel was interesting!
I like to look at canyons as work vs reward. While the technical section of the canyon was very rewarding there is a bit of effort to get there. Was it worth it, yes. Will I do it again, probably not.
Definitely better canyons to do in the swell, if you are looking for something with quick access though this will do.
Was a little disappointed not one pothole required an escape. They were all full of sand, such is the nature of the beast as the canyons change over time. Still enjoyed this canyon
Every anchor was in good condition, no wetsuit needed, water up to waste. Fun down climbing. With no anchor building this canyon wasn't very challenging.
After reading on several sites that retrievable anchors were needed I was surprised to find that most of the rappels were bolted on this canyon. With all the bolted anchors the canyon was very straight forward.
Made the quick stop off here and it was much cooler than expected. A little out of the way but worth visiting at least once!
Great skinny canyon. The stemming was fun, but not for the beginners.
Makes the Left Fork so much better.
Great one for the kids!
Love heaps, quite a bit of fun and a great challenge.
Even though it is short this is one of my favorites ever. Too bad they shut it down because it is now deemed a sacred site.
It was pretty dry when we went, I had it more built up in my mind. It thought it would be more challenging.
Overrated if you ask me. After reading Tom Jones' book I was stoked to hit this canyon. So many better options in the area if you ask me. There are some cool parts to this canyon.
Easy canyon, but always breathtaking!
