upper, upper thigh deep wades. disgusting mud. walked past the camp-site only realised when got to the confluence.
Camping trip with Jeanne's Troop from San Diego. Started on 10 NOV and camped at State Line Campground. Moved the Durango to White House on 11 NOV and hiked Wire Pass to the Buckskin/Paria confluence and camped. 12 NOV walked out Paria.
Hiked down Pariah to buckskin and back-about 16 miles. Water was low, nothing above knees.

Scott, pheobe, Oliver, Makenzie, Brooke Short exploring mission in and out of wire pass
Hiked 5 miles in and 5 out with Doug, Danny and Khristina. REALLY cool canyon. Oddly, saw about 9 condors! Would be terrible if flash flood
Beautiful Canyon even with the hoards of tourists, trash and nearly constant smell of poop with white flags everywhere in the first 2 miles. Did a day hike 6 miles in and 6 miles out and even that was worth it. Would love to score some overnight permits. Saw very few people after 2 miles into Buckskin proper from Wire Pass Junction.
My group hiked all the way through in one day. It took us 12-13 hours with a pretty good pace. Up to waist deep water. Cold at times but no need for a wetsuit. The Paria was unexpectedly flowing so my feet were wet until the very end. Shouldn't have carried extra dry shoes.
Backpacked through with Kara!
We did this as a backpack from wire pass to Lee's Ferry. A friend helped us set the shuttle so we didn't have to do the long round trip back from the end to the start. The Paria narrows are a very worthwhile extension to Buckskin.
Awesome horizontal canyon! Some amazing narrows!
Great trip with John Dunn, Dave Tobbler, and Glen Merrill
