On Friday, April 11, we descended Stem School after completing Cassidy Arch in the morning. The approach hike was one mile and took us 35 minutes. The anchors were in good condition, and there was no water. We completed the canyon car-to-car in two hours. Unfortunately, Ethan forgot his harness, so we traded off on the mandatory rappels, and I downclimbed or hand-lined some drops. Oh well! We made the best of his mistake and enjoyed the canyon. |

2 hours 35 minutes Friday Afternoon with Jacq, Caroline, and Lisa. Temps were 50's and sunny, beautiful weather. We thought this was a beautiful canyon (views from afar were especially great) despite bad reviews on this site. |

Sara and her boyfriend, Mark and Nicole, Rob and Cooper as well as Laura came with us on this adventure. Cooper had his harness belay loop start to rip on the big rappel in this canyon, we hauled him up to do emergency reassessments for his climbing belt. Laura almost fell backward into a pothole, but was able to avoid it. For the most part it was a very fun day. |
