6.5 hours. down east and up west. nice! dry except avoidable puddles despite recent rain. great camp at trailhead.
#1 most amazing canyon!
DK, LZ, AD, Dan Long hike in and hot, long hike out. Good ascending practice - spent a lot of time here. Worth it? We were wasted afterwards. 6 hours?
Attempted Tiff, Mike, Tyler - Tiff injured after R1
8 hours with three new guests. Some water in dark section.
Long hike out
Thanksgiving canyon with Ethan and Nell. The end of this canyon is really cool with a massive pile of rockfall and an option to descend then read end out of the final chamber.
Solo. Staying in east as Out and back better
Totally worth the walk. The ascending was awkward but not too bad
Fun canyon where you ascend the rope you leave fixed. Don't forget to go up on the left ledge to get the amazing views of the canyon where you turn around. Also had fun up climbing the section he said you can go around to skip.
Returned with Montgomery to drop to the lower slot section
With Derek, Mike, & Jon
Road very rough, but subi made it with a few precarious sections. Tracy, Ed, Lizzy, Tom, Tom's daughter, April and Ellie. Ed fell on first slot rap, hurt wrist and back. Called for heli/rescue. ended up self rescuing and turned away heli.
ips: 03/30/2019 - Dry, chilly and very fun. Awkward starts to ascending, note 1st rap use bolt to avoid issues when you go back to ascend, we missed it and had to partner assist in an up climb. Great camping at the trail-head,
Long rap up Horseshoe Canyon (13hrs)
Awesome canyon. We got waist deep in water shortly after the last rappel.
