Could be done with a 120' and fiddle. Leading up to the climb, climb the crack on the right x2 once 10 min before, then one right before the climb. For the climb, use the features on the left, starting with a left hand side-pull and right foot. Switch feet getting your left where your right is and step up. The far left side-pull is too far for me. Climb isn't hard, but likely best to climb without your pack and pull it up with a rope once on top. After the climb climb the immediate hump on the right then down the crack on the right to the ledge to the first rap. After first rap, immediately go left up by boulders . You should go to the top, for the peak and view, but we didn't this time because I'm old with a bad hip. Go right as soon as you can to a narrow gap before it all splits and go down that canyon. 2nd rap is 60ish, then last rap is 60'. it was just me and Steve. It took us about 4 1/2 hours. I'm pretty confident that we could cut an hour and a half of that out just knowing the route now. The first rappel was exactly 100 feet. Second propel was around 60 feet. Final repel was about 60 feet.
Super fun adventure hike, everything Farnsworth wishes it could be. Fun navigating with chill scrambling until the crux climb just before the first rappel. I got up it fine but had to down climb it to give Lauren a spot. Spooky. On the first rapp we encountered a rope set up that belonged to a sweet couple at the bottom, Jake and Lyla. I hollered down a greeting and Jake immediately offered his rope for our use. We stuck with them the rest of the hike, both very sweet and transplants to Salt Lake from the Midwest. Had a nice time hanging together at the summit, then the mellow down climbs and final rappel out. Numbers were exchanged, perhaps the birth of a beautiful canyon friendship?
Eli, Mac, Torrey 1st of 3 canyons for the day.
Went with Allison and had a fun time. Boosted her up the crux and then she helped me. Rappel was fine with a 60m and a partner assist for the downclimb.
With Jeff and Greg. Pit-roasted turkey when we got back.
Fun! 5 hours
With Kaelin. Hike straight to upper shelf before heading right to find the break in the capstone. Great scramble.
Completed several years ago but a great adventure with climbing, rappelling, and route finding
With CHS and Jorge
Fun - with Evan and Adam - more tricky climbing than I remembered from the last time ... But at least new anchors ( the old pitons are gone ...)
Fun climb up and windy day
first raps ever!!
Completed with Rachel, Maddie, Zack, and Ryan. Evening trip. Approximately 3.5 hours.
Fall Approx 2021 w/ Fernando. Very very nice and scenic. Some not so chill climbing on sandy slab for a few moves.

FF, Mike & Kim: the day after finishing the 6-day White Rim.
F & J. Super fun route!
Did this route with Alan using a 70m dynamic rope.
With renae
Natalie, Dots. Sunset hike for Moab Half Marathon Weekend.
Scramble up rockfall in front of Owl Rock. Head to the back of canyon, turning right at the junction. After scrambling up the bowl, R1 (~85 ft) was moved from left-side to right-side and many rope grooves now exist there. After R1 (~85 ft) at canyon bottom, head up rock fall directly next to R1 (to the left). Head to top, and cross over crack where safe to get to R2 (~65 ft), or head to top and cross over when done visiting. To get to top, find a weakness on Western-South side of the highest ledge. R1 (~85 ft) and R2 (~65 ft) are solid chains and well maintained.
Fun, beautiful, not very long. Tricky down and upclimbing so go with someone who can really climb and spot. Enter Arches by 8 am and have breakfast at pullout.

First canyoneering experience. We struggled deciphering the beta. I think we were using Mountain Project and not RTR.
Very tricky with vague beta
Rusty and Ketner wedding weekend.
Good activity for a few hours in the morning.
Cory, Murr, and Sam.
Short and sweet. A little exposed in one spot, sticky shoes and small length of cord for other members to help each other up was helpful
Very nice!
Got an early start and we were the only two people on the route for a long time. Many more groups showed up in the afternoon. It was our first time in Elephant Butte and misinterpretation of the directions had us experiencing new tangents and techniques before finding the first rap! It ate up some time but found that others made the same misinterpretations of the directions and ended up where we were. It all worked out and we saw views from angles that I'm guessing many have not seen! It took 6 hours total. Now we know the route I bet we could do it in 2. Gorgeous views and some fun technical climbing.
Owl rock was too wet to climb so we joined a couple after helping them find the start of the canyon.
Great views, nothing unexpected. With Zak, Brett, Ferrin on the moab half weekend.
awesome
Fun route finding back when the beta was more sparse! Think I used a scan of a hand drawn map.
been up elephant butte 4 times throughout the past few years with some great people, my sister, mike, bob/sharon, aaron, garratt, steve and jim.
fun. easy up climbs. Kids on rope or spot
