Ran with Caylin, Peter, Noah and Koda in 6 hrs. We stayed dry. The canyon was beautiful! Would definitely do this one again.
Amazing rappels, watch out for water, doesn’t get any sun in the winter, 4 dead man anchors rappels

4.5hrs.C2C. Me. Brian. Todd. Kristin. Boone. First big rap our orange 60 m? Rope reached the bottom alone (both ends). Third big rap (into the amazing chamber) 60 m alone sufficed in the same fashion.
Back half of double day with Arscenic. 3.5ish hours after shortcut coming from Arscenic and descending back to camp at Poison Spring. Awesome canyon. Party of 3 (Montgomery, Max, me)
With Kai. Long repels, some dark sections that were cool. Overall thought nothing special, least favorite out of three. about 1.5 hours-took shorter exit
Second descent. Just as fun as last. Corkscrew section is fantastic. First rap has new webbing. Dry.

Great trip with 6 people with great weather. One pool of water at the end which made a fun downclimb. Each anchor was chopped on all 3 rappels :( so we used a lot of webbing to set those back up.
We took a group of 11 (half new people, half experienced) through on March 22, 2025 and had great weather. The canyon was dry with no pools of water. Noticed there was a newish cairn anchor built for the optional first rappel--we decided to use it to give the new people a practice rappel before the larger ones in the canyon. All anchors appeared to be in good condition but some of the webbing is starting to look a bit worn and will probably need to be replaced soon (especially on the rappel into the dark area where it rubs on two surfaces). Be sure to inspect the webbing closely on the wear areas. Great canyon, I feel it is underrated.
We took a group of 7 people through and didn't come across any other people inside the canyon. Took our time and had lots of fun. There was a decent amount of water in the canyon from the rain earlier in the week. Two of us opted to do a bit more stemming/bridging to stay dry the entire time. It was fun figuring out different ways to stay dry during rappels, down climbs, etc... One party member who chose to get wet--waded through almost waist-deep water in one of the areas. Anchors seemed to be in good condition. On the last short rappel or downclimb that drops into a pool of water (or mud depending on when you go?). Looks like the webbing/Deadman anchor will need to be replaced before too long due to the rubbing on the sandstone on that last anchor--this might be the anchor that @rachelg built? If so, thanks, it helped keep us dry on that (it was full of water and mud). Exit was a little steeper than we thought, but I think we saw the cairns built by @mtnsam (thanks). Super fun though and perfect weather of about 70 degrees F the entire time.
Car to car 3 hours and 45 minutes with Ethan and Jonah. Ethan rappelled this time instead of being lowered. We had a fun day descending this great canyon!
party of 7. 11:15am-5:30pm? very slow setting the raps checking the anchors. did 5 raps + I meat-anchored one for about half the party.
Did in conjunction with Slidenide
With Morley & Nico
Lyle, linked with others in area
Tyler, landon, tiff
Shaun, Tyler and Landon
Walk around to right first fall, 1st rappell is now a deadman. 2nd rappell deadman and tree.
Group of 4 including Scott Whiting, Caleb (Scott's Friend), Trevor and myself descended Constrycnine for the first time. Leisurely 7 hours car to car. Took extra time with noob, water and extra caution on sketchy anchors. Weather was partly cloudy, mid 60's and a lot of wind. Great day.
With Jeff
Did with Nicole sometime late this November! Really pretty canyon, massive rappels into huge rooms. Another solid one.
So so good. Did it in a loop with Slideanide. Great raps. Great slides
The approach hike was about 45 minutes and the canyon was stunning with gorgeous rock features and tall sandstone walls. Some deep and dark sections. Three amazing rappels and fun down climbing. We had a lot of fun in the canyon!
So much snow! I rapped off of one snow anchor that I built. We did this and sieninde in one day
6.5c2c,pie me toni jordan K&B, biffed exit lost 1Hr, took 70m & two 125ft ropes. Dry. Third big rap has hidden anchor inside chimney on rt- we used chock stone in waterway. First rap used 70m and one 125ft pull cord. Amazing canyon. Once on top of Mesa follow cutoff trail (not Ryan) back across head of Arscenic to trailhead
Dry
Kyle, Patrick, Cory, Greg. First canyon of the day.
Tracy, Ed, Tom, Lizzy, Alicia, April and Ellie. DRY. awesome canyon, loved the LONG rappels and amazing tall corridors!
Great Canyon, Love the rappels. Scary good down climbs. In October it was bone dry. Went with Jennica, Chad LaDow, Long John Horton, Brady Koehler and Mark Hartner. For the third rappel, there is a big (boulder) chockstone with webbing on it for a bomber anchor, forget a deadman's use the chockstone.
Completed with Nate Gregory, Tom Bugg, and Garrett Porter
Michael ensign, his dad Scott, and chase Fowers. Cruised through. Second poison canyon of the day. Finished in around 3 hours.
Dry, you could do the canyon with 150' and pull cords, wayfinding was a bit harder
Very dry, very fun. lots of big raps. replaced and packed out a decent amount of webbing.
Some menacing haze made it less enjoyable, but otherwise great! Fun, long rappels. No water.
One of the best intermediate canyons. Fantastic views and fun raps. All anchors were in good shape, and canyon was completely dry for us. Slithery down climbing means you'll shred your gear, but this canyon is a classic.
Great canyon. Totally dry. Love the last, dark rap.
Girls only trip
This was an awesome canyon. I hope to go back soon. The main drop off gets the blood going. :)
5hc2c,piebrirobme, best of the 3 slots here. AMAZING chamber. likely 5 raps total. dry. anchors are good. road is ok for pearl.
