DK narrows - get tiresome by the end rope stuck 1st rappel- midway anchor rappel into semi keeper - used pack toss plus DK on my shoulders - water was mid thigh heinous hike out
With GM & LS
W/ Lex- cool down climbs, and middle rappel was coolest. Some hip deep water with some fun pothole escapes. Would do again, but next time bring sand trap for the pothole practice at the end. Also saw about 50 people at the trailhead on our return. 4hr 8min
Cool down climbs. Middle rappel was really cool. Encountered some hip deep water in the pothole and had to do a fun(muddy) pothole escape. Would do again. Didn't do the potholes at the end, but think you would need a sandtrap to do them.
More physical than anticipated, but still very straightforward. The first rappel is likely a dead man, but anchor materials may be scarce. The pull can be tough, and it may be necessary to rig a new anchor at the second stage. Semi keeper easily escapable, but a partner assist is nice when wet and muddy.
Great canyon dry
Long “monkey” hike thru canyon before the rappels. Very exciting canyon. Rappels are fun and provide a good challenge. Exit kinda stinks, but is fun in its own way. We did middle Lep immediately after from the park spot.
Dooooooooope canyon for the trip. Jack ripped his pants open and the first rap with the natural anchor down low was cool. IT bands are screaming. Denver Davis and Catherine (?) have a long drive to go.
Fantastic canyon, absolutely worth many repeat visits. A shuttle car would be nice in the future! Canyon starts right off with some fun down climbs and stems, entertaining and physical. Solid obstacles continued until the first 2 stage rappel. The rappel was beautiful, right into a dry pothole that I easily got out of, then down a great corkscrew slide to the 2nd stage. Note: I need to research the best way to set rope length on 2 stages like this where you can't see the bottom. The whole area in and beneath the rappel was my favorite, fantastic deep caverns and climbs. Also the incredible vertical elevator section!! 20 feet straight down at least. The boys all did great: Jack, Liam and Erik. Erik and I got some great partner assist practice in a dry pothole further down canyon. Jack's ass was out the entire time. The exit was intense, up the not-so-obvious-to-me crack. Super loose stuff, and remembering to peel off to the right on the slick rock expanse. My favorite canyon of this fall.
Did it in Oct 2021 - I stayed in the keeper pothole for a while - otherwise good. Exit was goofy.
It was short approach to Monkey Business from the truck. Maybe 15-20 minutes. Canyon features a lot of down climbing, most of it was easy, but some was a little spicier. The rappels are towards the end of the canyon. First rappel (90 feet) in two stages, rope pull looked problematic, but ultimately was okay. Next rappel (27 feet) was into a pothole with ankle deep water. I climbed out of the pothole and rigged a Tyrollean traverse or zip line for the group and we shuttled the bags across before Steve, Ethan, and Marybeth zipped down. Everyone was thrilled, but especially Ethan. The final rappel (90 stages) in two stages. It took almost two hours to hike out and return to the truck. Lots of scrambling and some low fifth class climbing.
We did monkey business and middle lep same day. Fun
To practice pothole escapes
Canyon was dry other than knee-deep water in keeper pothole at the end. Bram built a 3 to 1 for Cam, Natalie, Torie, and myself off bulge in the rock. Lots of great stemming and rappelling for beginners. I would recommend it to anyone.
Kevin, Kelly, Mike, Jenny. (First time meeting Jenny). Was a swimmer pothole. The ladies weren’t pleased, haha!
With John. Really fun Canyon, but the heck out is very long. Next time leave a shuttle vehicle at the exit
Date is a guess. Unexpectedly wet. Swam fully at last pothole. Got COLD. roxy Connor Brett Kim Nancy me.
Did with Kaden. Nice canyon that has fun downclimbing, but not too narrow compared to it's neighbors. The 2-stage rappel was nice off of a deadman. Would do again.
Took 6 of us 3.5 hours to get through. Exit had lots of sun exposure and was fairly steep.
Karl, William, and I -Got lost the first day and in wrong canyon. Very humbled and realized the high consequences of canyoneering if your not properly prepared. But the next day, we did it. Very smooth, fun adventure! Some sketchy anchors... Got the stoke for canyoneering this trip :)

Emily and Taylor Meadows, Bennett, Scotty, and Abbie. Super playful canyon with lots of fun elevator downclimbs and rappels.
Lots of obstacles kept this canyon interesting. Fun day out even if a bit more water than we'd hoped for (chest deep? In the semikeeper)
Very dry. Very Hot.
Lee Katherine Goldstein, Hendrick Schmidt, Erek Burek, that asshole who almost killed Hendrick on the exit Of note: Hendrick saved me twice: Once getting stuck in a slot, also holding my hand to get to the last rappel where I almost crapped my pants
Fun, but heinous rope pull from the 2-stage rappel, which can be split into 2 raps, which we did. Top anchor should probably be extended closer to top edge of rap. Exit is a grunt; we did it in the dark.
Tons of fun, though the ascent out had a few sketchy exposed sections that in my opinion are class 5.
Completed with Tony, Matt, Q, and Kelton. First time using the guided rap.
Very fun and challenging. Not recommended for kids. 8 hours.
