4/2/24 Canyon had received rain the previous day. Probably the most full of water I have seen--was a blast with waist deep water in some of the narrow areas. Took a group of 8 through the canyon as a warmup before doing Birch Hollow the next day. Moist moss on the rock wall made the climb out a little more slick but not too difficult. Fun canyon, especially fun with the added water.

great weather, a little bit of unavoidable water at the end of the canyon. it could be full body stemmed, but is difficult for shorter people.

With Dad and Nate. Did the first rappel from the anchors above the overhang leading to a 100ft+ rappel free hanging most of the way. Amazing rappel! The rest of the canyon was exciting with some downclimbing action. We slung the first big downclimb with the fat boulder at the top. We just slung it with our rope, which was a bad idea. It popped off while Nate was hanging on it and he had a small but safe fall--no injuries. Will never do that again--lesson learned.

We love this one. We did it with our kids, 3 boys, 8, 12, 15. They love it. No water to get in this time. Definitely one of the best for beginners.

lots of alternate routes at the beginning, different rappel options. anchors in good shape, not a ton of water, it was avoidable.

Annie, Tyler, Marc 1:02 car to car. One 30ft rappel at the top. 75ft main rappel. Meet anchored a shorter down climb. Dow climbed the rest. No water. Mosquitoes were bad.

Went good. Easy. Could not find the anchors on the last drop. It was hidden on the left side and you need to use the small holes to get to it.

I brought three climber friends here as an intro to technical canyoneering and it was the perfect canyon for it. Beautiful sights and plenty of rappel options for people who don’t want to down climb or want more rope work practice!

Fun canyon! Missed the preferred exit and ended up hiking out of Hollow Creek instead.

10/12/2020
Our very first canyoneering adventure was so much fun. Biggest challenge was finding the anchors and the exit. Luckily Ray remembered he had the gps waypoints so after passing the exit we returned to the spot indicated on the gps and easily climbed out. Exit was a bit steep but not too bad. Approx date, did with Ben x2 to recover dropped phone first time, did again in winter with Wyatt and Melina

Went with Mikey and CJ after we did Birch Hollow This was a really fun and short hike to do and was definitely worth the trip as a second hike in the day. We loved that it had a little bit of everything to do, a repel, and several different types of down climbs, this would be a great canyon for any beginner

11/18/2018
knee-thigh wades, one waist-deep pool. easily passable dirt road to trailhead. beautiful and fun!

08/26/2018
bout 2 or 3 hours. 5 people. out in the dark. very full, kinda cold. anchors for 2 more raps after first 2. downclimbable, handline is helpful, probs best to just rap

08/18/2018
It was very full of water with several swims. I took my cousins family and we had a good time but it was a bit much for the kids that weren't into climbing. All in all a fun canyon but not quite sure it is great as a "family friendly" canyon unless your family is already very outdoorsy.

Very fun. Some of the down climbs would be challenging for beginners, but easily overcome with team work and hand lines. There was lots of water which made it even better!

It rained all day before filling this canyon with water. We did without wetsuits, and were very cold. I would have recommended at least a shorty for this time of year. 2 swimmers (30 feet long) & lots of water. Reminds me of a little Pinecreek.

03/11/2016
Always a fun short one when you have a few hours to spare.
